All, I would like to take the opportunity to inform everyone of the decision involving the ADM and its' implementation with in D6 at our monthly meeting last Tuesday, March 9, 2010. It was voted on by the council members and decided that the ADM will be implemented in it's entirety beginning with the fall 2010-2011 season. This will apply to the 8U and 6U youth playing USA Hockey. The criteria we will follow has been distributed to all council members and if you wish to see that infomation please contact your local MAHA council member. I will highlight a few of the important points below.
First, there will be no Mite B or Mite A travel for the 2010-2011 season.
Mite AA will be allowed for the 2010-2011 season only for those associations that had either Mite A or AA in the 09-10 season.
No full ice contests, practices, scrimmages permitted at the Mite B and Mite A level. In order for an association to be granted Mite AA for the fall 2010-2011 season they must have had either Mite A or Mite AA or both for the 2009-2010 season . If not, then all those association teams 8U and younger will participate in the ADM.
Associations participating in the ADM may have unlimited exchanges with other associations participating in the ADM.
All teams at 8U and below must follow recommended ice allocation and practice ratio.
There are a host of incentives that will come from USA Hockey for following the criteria, for example: mini-nets, pucks, bumper pads, jerseys to name a few.
